Connecticut Getting Ready To Host The Cycling Festival

The Connecticut Cycling Festival was started in the year 2013 and this is going to be the second time that the festival is going to take place in Hartford, Connecticut. The 2014 Connecticut Cycling Festival will be held on the 20th and 21st of September and several events which are family-friendly are going to take place during the festival.
Last year’s cycling festival was a huge success because around two thousand people attended it. Many of them even participated in the racing events that took place last year.
The races this year will be open for riders belonging to the different age groups and will cover 1 mile circuit in downtown Hartford. The circuit is going to circle 4 city blocks and is designed in such a way that the riders will enjoy themselves to the fullest.
Medals and cash prizes of about ten thousand dollars are going to be awarded to the winning participants. Family entertainment is going to get high priority in the 2014 Connecticut Cycling Festival because the food vendors, exposition areas, bike shows, bands, music and so on will keep all the families and participants well-entertained.
CCAP (Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program) is going to organize this festival in association with EnvisionFest. The proceeds from the festival are going to be used to create a cycling community through which cycling as sport will be promoted in Connecticut and youths will be encouraged to engage in cycling as much as possible.
Registrations are still going on. So you can register for the different events and be a part of the much awaited cycling festival in Connecticut. CCAP is also looking for more sponsors and volunteers who can help with the management of the festival this year. Businesses who want to promote their organization and support the festival can also join hands with CCAP.
