Wiggins may Quit Road Racing

Bradley Wiggins who is better known to be a topper in both forms of professional cycling is again in news for a new decision. Till the end of next season he has announced to quit from road racing. He is doing so to improve his performance in track racing. This 4 time Olympic winner has made this decision because now he wants to win the fifth Olympic medal. He is excited to win one more gold medal before finishing his cycling career in track. In Tour de France 2012 he has been the winner but couldn’t repeat the same this year due to the injury.

However, he wishes to win the Tour de France one more time. He further mentioned that it is not easy to return with the track line-up so he will quit from road racing for preparation of next Olympics. He has said that due to severe loss of muscle and weight he has to prepare more and it can be done only by reducing his concentration from so many things and putting the focus on one. However, he is interested in playing with Team Sky for 2014 race. He is in the support of the winning Chris Froome and doesn’t feel hesitated to admit that Froome is better than him.

Appreciating the Froome’s time trial he explained that Froome is a better climber than him. Froome’s present condition is in his favor and he has the potential to win 5 tours, as explained by Wiggins. He has decided to leave the team to prepare the track racing for Olympics. He made it clear that he is not saying goodbye. He is just taking off for a short period and he will like to return in the team soon. After 2008 Wiggins switched to road racing but now want to quit from it.
